This is a birthday card for 'Uncle Al' - a close family friend - but it could be used for Father's Day as well or a boy's birthday. I've never used diagonal striped dp on a card before but after seeing a few other SCS cards, I was inspired to try and now I will definitely use this type of dp again.
After attaching the dp to the nut brown cs, I ran a scrap of blue cs thru the CB using the Argyle ef and sanded it lightly to enhance it's embossing effect, then attached this to a piece of nut brown cs, and tied the ribbon around it before attaching it to dp with 1mm mounts. This gorgeous, happy dog is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Gamsol and Prisma pencils (yay - found an ink that doesn't bleed no matter how much Gamsol you use!!). The image is attached to the same colour blue and brown cs and popped up on 1mm mounts. Make sure you leave the LH corner of the image free of adhesive so you can easily attach the red bone paper-clip! I popped a couple of glue dots behind it so the clip doesn't move. Isn't that clip the cutest? It's by Creative Impressions.com.
Sentiment is stamped with Versacolor Baby Blue ink and embossed with clear ep, then diecut with Spellbinders Labels Trio. Run same ink around edge before attaching to blue and brown cs, punching corners as you go. Attach to dp with 1mm mounts. Lastly add the paw pad brads.
