Well, here's the backstory to this card. I love watercolors and haven't a clue how to use them. No painter am I! LOL. So the other day I set about to try my hand while creating a project for my next swap. I also incorporated a challenge between Princessheather and me to use Lovely as a Tree to see what we come up with. (Actually, the idea was to circulate the set among 8 folks and every one would bring their creation to the next swap.)
So in the end, the card I made was much too involved and time consuming to use for a shoebox swap, so I reinvented it today to use this darling little Magnolia which jaydekay was kind enough to let me stamp from her vast collection. Thanks so much, Judy! Or was it YLM? Yikes, well thanks to both of you.
This super simple card starts with a wash of watercolor paints. I let that dry and stamped with Lovely as a Tree in the background. Scribbled in some leaves with watercolor pencils, then washed it with a small amount of water on a clean brush.
I stamped the Brick Wall onto paper from the BG Wassail stack. Added grass, dragonflies and perched Magnolia up on dimensionals.
I realize that the flag is over the top, but I couldn't resist!
This card was super simple, but requires time lapses to allow for drying. Needless to say, I've been at it off and on since o'dark hundred this morning!
Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

Well I sure love what you did with the trees. Lovely it is. Reminds me of our walk in the park on Sunday . I really like that little grassy foreground in front of the wall, too.
