I'm am totally beside myself with Nutmeg, aka Mutnik. I'm happy she's my friend, but some of her strange behaviors just put me right over the edge. Here's the scoop as they say in the reporting industry:
Apparently, in today's Sacramento Bee, our Ms Nutmeg (not to be confused with our Miss Brooks)decided she'd play 'dress up' with her husband's halloween custome. She's been trying to figure out how to lounge around this summer rather than work, so her thinking was: If I go door to door, maybe I could collect enough change to pay the A/C bill this summer.
It was only when she arrived at 1273 Reuter Ranch Road, my former home, that she was greeted by a guy who just happens to head up the County Legislature working on allegations of a corrupt CHFD! #Not a good time to be impersonating a CHFD guy, Nutmeg#.
When she accepted his invitation to come in, she didnt realize he was calling the cops while pretending to be pouring lemonade. With lemonade in one hand and cuffs on the other, the article said she clueless as to what was going on. She tried to explain her circumstances to no avail. Apparently, her fake tears didnt work this time.
The paper said they interviewed DH who didnt seem to be in any big hurry to cough up the $500K bail.

I was going to pm you and say *Bring it.*. Well I guess you brought it! I must say tho, I look pretty good in a mustache! Did you really have to set me up? I was only tying to raise money for more dog biscuits. Those poor lonely pool side dogs just wait weekly for the wonderful treats I bring them. I wasn't trying to pay for AC so I could lounge around all summer. I am a little surprised tho, that DH wouldn't cough up the bail money. Shame on him. At least my friend Joan is willing to pay my bail. Oh Anne, what to do. I love your card, I love your story. You are just toooo stinkin clever and oh so funny! Glad you are back! Love this. TFS :0) P.S. Beware, I'll will be making friends with the guards.....this isn't over!!!!

OMGosh, Anne! This is too funny and your story is, too! Love the checks and dots and the fireman with his ax and pup! I can't believe that Mutnik would do such a thing as you've reported, but times are tough, it's true. Need to head over to Mutnik's site and see if she has an explanation! Super creative card!

Anne, you are a SCREAM! Picking on poor Mutnik who rallied to your aide with proof that you were in the desert. Sigh. No one is left unscathed ...
Your card is AWESOME, Anne! Love this image and your detailed background is amazing as always. Love your cards, girl! And the stories are a wonderful bonus! LOL

I love the shininess and colors on this card, but I think I'm too slow to keep up with you and Cathy. I'm sitting here with my mouth open going "HUH?".
