I made these for my grandkids to give their teachers at the end of this year. The idea came from a special issue of Papercrafts magazine: 225 Cards & Gifts. Each purse box holds five cards, all similar designs, but with different colors and sentiments. The purse box is super easy to make especially with a Scor-Pal. The body of the purse box uses 1 12-inch square of CS, with the body being cut 10-inches X 12-inches; the remaining 2-inch by 12-inch piece is cut in half lengthwise (1 X 12) for the handle. Then the front is decorated however you wish. I used Bridal Pearl brads for the centers of the flowers on the fronts of the purses. I attached the flowers to the strip of DP before attaching to the purse so that the cards wouldn't get caught on the brad prongs inside the purse. I read a thread here about teacher gifts, and one teacher chimed in, and said she would appreciate anything WITHOUT apples, so there's not an apple in site! I know my DDIL is going to love these, and I hope the grandkids' teachers do also.
