I was surprised by a really cute card today from Carrie (Special2). She had commented on one of my cards, so I tried to view her gallery, but she hasn't uploaded yet. I encouraged her to upload and asked that she let me know if she ever does so I can check out her gallery.
I noticed that she mentioned she worked with special needs children, so in my message, I mentioned about my 10-year old son who has autism. She's working with blind children right now and is furthering her education. I thanked her for any and everything she does for all special needs children.
She sent me this "smiley" card that has a lot of texture for children to feel and imagine. It has the raised smileys and double ribbon wrap which have a lot of texture.
The funny thing is she didn't know that "smileys" are Brandon's favorite thing and always have been. We even use them in motivational behavior books for school. So, she got it right on the mark!
Thanks again Carrie for your thoughtfulness. We really appreciate it!

What a fun RAK - and how suitable that she chose to make a 'smiley' card. Glad to hear your son likes 'smileys' - around our household 'smileys' have always been a favourite thing. DD#1 used to collect anything with a 'smiley' on it... Sort of considered it to be like our family 'logo'!
