It has been raining all day and has been a little gloomy outside. I have been inside safe and dry thinking of all my SCS friends.
1. Faith (Markie's Mom)
After hearing from Faith, of all the adventures of Speedy the cat, I was inspired to make this cat card. They called Speedy, but he had to decline. If he had come home with sand all in his fur, Faith probably would have given him a bath. We all know that cats hate baths.
2. Cathy (Mutnik)
A couple of months ago, Cathy photo copied her dress I think to put on a card. She inspired me with this card. The shirt I was wearing this morning just happened to have embroidered cats at the beach on it. After a quick change, I photo copied my shirt. I didn't want as much detail that was on the shirt, so I took the photo copy and used carbon paper under it to just do an outline. I then scanned it into my computer and shrank the image.
3. Peggy(Marilynprestonn)
Peggy, do you see the sunglasses on my middle kitty. I wonder what is reflected in his. Maybe a dolphin, or a sailboat(like Grace's -Scrapigramma2)
Peggy, I also used some of the blue dp that you sent me.
The image was colored with prisma colored pencils and chalk. I layered with brown paper bags. (Just a few) and finished it off with twine.
What do you think?

You have got to be kidding me... I can't believe you created this image that way. What a great idea. These cats look like they are up to some sand and surf. Maybe some tuna. Great job MariLynn. Love the uniqueness of your creation.

WHAT?!?!?! You are amazingly creative, MariLynn! Omigosh! I just love what you did to create your cute image. Can I bring my sand pail and shovel to join your beach party with all of the others? So very cute!

What a wonderful card, MariLynn, full of meaning. You should have shown us your shirt, too . My favourite is the white cat - I bet she's really going to go for a swim and not just pose like the guys. If she's a Turkish cat, she really might.
We had two different cats who loved coming to the beach in the car for our morning swims when we were on school holidays, but of course they just walked along the beach and never came in.
