Today's WT challenge was to use tins. Now, I am not very big into altered items, but there are plenty of tins. I have no shortage of tins from Maya Road chipboard waiting to be attended to, and one from Prima hydrangeas.
But I decided to use this tin that a watch came in. I'd tried out my alcohol inks on the lid when I first got them 3 - 4 years ago, and it's been sitting around ever since, untouched. Originally the lid was a bit more purple, so I just wiped over it with Red Pepper to make it match my patterned Kraft paper better. I also sponged round the bottom rim. Then I put strips of double-sided tape all round the top and bottom of the tin, and added the paper. To decorate the lid I used Primas, Prima leaves, buttons and some wine organza ribbon
Not sure what I'll use it for, but certainly something...
Thanks, Julia.
