There were so many of these cut pocket cards popping-up all over SCS, that I had to try making one too! The flower pot pocket card was the technique challenge a few weeks ago, here is a link to the challenge: Forums at Splitcoaststampers.
This really wasn't a difficult card to make, but it took me forever to decide on what flowers to use and how to layer them. I ended up using flowers from the Stampin' Up! Birds and Blooms sizzlets dies. The colors for this card were inspired by the cover of the May Stampin' Success magazine for Stampin' Up! demonstrators. I used perfect plum, old olive, pink pirouette and barely banana for the flowers and foliage. The pocket pot is close to cocoa. I used the eyelet border punch along the top lip of the pot and stamped the polka dot background on the lower part of the pot. I added buttons (from Button Bouquet) and silver brads to the layered flowers. The Happy Mother's Day sentiment is from the Chit Chat rub-ons.
