I needed to make a masculine birthday card for my nephew's birthday celebration this weekend, and I have to tell you that masculine cards are always my toughest challenge. The brown and white combo in the teapot for Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday challenge seemed to lend themselves well to this sketch challenge masculine card.
I just love this Cute and Curly stamp set that you can buy as a bundle with Stampin Up's curly label punch. The punched label is raised on dimensionals, and I outlined the curly shape with Close to Cocoa to create a faux matted look against the white distressed stripes embossed panel underneath.

You knocked this masculine card out of the park! I love what you did with the sketch challenge, the colors your chose, the details, etc. It's so hard to do "masculine", but you really got it going here. I have and love that curly label set also. This is going into my favs! FD cards coming up - this will be a great inspiration! TFS!

Hey guys! Bertie is here! Yep, you know I was telling you about her...she's the one that is stamping one handed right now! Yep, she came to the Tea Party and she brought an awesome card! Its a masculine card. Woot! We don't see too many of those at our girly tea parties!
Charlene...so glad you could play. I love your card....You say you are masculine challenged but I think not as this card is awesome. Is the a corderoy (I know that is not how to spell that!) button? I love how it coordinates with the stripes! I think you might one-handed stamping challenge but thats not your fault and you rocked this card anyway, injury or not!
Thanks for coming.....I love that you are here. Follow me in the kitchen and we will get a little baggie for your card so it doesnt get mud on it! Snort!

OHHH so creative with your SC card Charlene!! That brown and white is so lovely!!! I love how you used the spiral punch - it looks so vintage!!! Great cb work and sentiment accent on the left side!!! That would be the most challenging part!! Corderoy buttons - that's so styling! Manly work , Charlene - in a lovely way!
