Check out this very elegant timeless classic of a teapot Cindy used for the tea-party this week. And the cake - sorry, card - she made. Wouldn't it make a brilliant wedding cake - - or card?
I used the photo of the teapot, applied a threshold, inverted it, printed it and cut out a template to use for my iris folding. I just used one type of white paper for the iris folding, and when I'd done that, I outlined the pot with a clear Sakura Stardust pen. I scored each edge. For the handle I crocheted a strand of raffia and attached it with little gold brads. Simple.
I believe White Tea is very fashionable these days, it seems to be the new green. Mind you, I drink my tea black - and weak.
Thanks for this rather challenging teapot this week, Cindy. It was a bit like being presented with a blank canvas!!

Holy cow! It really is my teapot! You took my teapot and transformed into something that is way way cool! Iris folding...sounds too complicated for me....heck even applying a threshold even sounds too hard for me! This is such, such a cool card. I love that you did the handle to match the teapots handle! This card rocks.....
Come on, follow me into the kitchen. I wanna get a little baggie to slip your card into so that it stays protected until the rowdies mellow out.... Yeah, that's right for the rest of the week! Giggle!
Awesome Sabrina....glad you got my packagel....You did good with your blank canvas.....

Sabrina, this has to be the most fabulous teapot card ever. WOW!! What a lot of work. I struggled with the white teapot, but you just outdid yourself with this one.

Are you kidding me??? This is absolutely fabulous, Sabrina! Amazingly creative! I love the iris folded teapot and the crocheted raffia handle! It is a perfect recreation of Cindy's lovely white teapot! You will need to tuck this one away so it won't get damaged in all the rowdiness! You'd think when we are wearing all white, we could try to behave but it didn't work out that way! Awesome job!

Well , I am impressed! Your teapot is creative and elegant. And the handle puts you at the head of the table today. After all the mud that has been thrown today you might want to wipe the chair first though.

WOW - this card is just awesome, Sabrina. You put so much work and love into this. I agree, tuck it away for safe keeping. I have never tried iris folding; you may have just inspired me.
