I made this for Mothermark's tea party today in honor of a special birthday girl, MariLynn. Her birthday was Sunday, but she had to celebrate Mother's day with her family then so today is the day we are celebrating it. I know it was a white tea pot today, but really my tea pot started at white. It was stamped on white cardstock and then I got the bright idea of paper piecing it to make it a musical teapot to play MariLynn a birthday tune. It is turned up and ready to pour her a spot of birthday tea. Happy Birthday, MariLynn.
Update: I just got a memo telling me I was suppose to use only one other color. Well, Shirtley is at the wheel today driving us to the tea party, she doesn't read directions let alone follow them, but atleast she has promised not to cause a ruckus today. I can only hope she is good to her word and will behave.
Oops, there she goes, in the front door, what a rebel!

Great idea, great card. This party needs some music. You truly created a singing teapot. Love the colors you chose. Too much white will make us look sickly.

Every party needs some music, so let's sing Happy Birthday to MariLynn. Did you have to sneak in the back door with all those lovely colors. This card is just adorable.

Snort! That memo didn't come from Mwwwaaaa!!! Hee! No biggie Shirt, if you ever do navigate here successfully, all you have to do is come in the back door! Lots of us have to do that from time to time. As a matter of fact, Gertie is missing...so that's probably where she is, waiting for you!
I love your musical teapot! Ooh! Watch out for that mud puddle, that's the one Carla got pushed in! Whew! Anyway, what I was saying bout your card! Its awesome! I love that you brought music to Marilynn's birthday....
You can be in charge of telling the tea potters with bad voices they can't sing! Snort! Thanks for coming and bringing this awesome card!

This musical teapot is absolutely fabulous!!! It was definitely worth coming in the back door for. I think though that Cindy should let you in the front door because you added that cute little polka dotted embellishment in the corner!!!

Oh Shirley, this is one sweet teapot. I would never send you a memo saying colors aren't allowed, espcially chocolate! LOL Now as for the little fairy, she is cute, but she is actually the one that started the mud puddle pushing. Watch yourself, she is sneaky, I, common mortal have no power over her...hee hee hee.
Love the little hearts on the teapot. Let's say we start singing again. Happy Birthday to you! TFS and nice to see you at the party, it is always a pleasure to find more victims of my mischief. Did I just write that? LOL

Well, I am glad you didn't stick to one other colour, because this is just beautiful - it's the card that DH homed in on. And as for breaking the rules - Cindy's no angel herself in that respect, so I don't think she has a leg to stand on when it comes to sending people round to the back door. Anyway you should have enough polka dots there to get you in the front.
