The CAS challenge this week is to use the Rock and Roll technique. I donÂ’t have that many solid images so I always tend to fall back on this flower for the technique.
This is a nice quick card to put together, I first did the rock and roll and stamped the flower then cut it out and did a fast paper sculpting with a metal ball stylus. Add the punched center after I sponged the tips with rust ink and then added the brad, the brad prongs go through the narrow panel layers.
For the narrow panel I pulled out the scraps and both the black and the rust are pieced together under the flower. I taped on the back side then made the cuts.
The rust panel was stamped with the weave image, ink distressed on the edges, stamped and paper pierced.
The leaves were added last and they also were sponged and a vein line added with the stylus.
The flower is from Stampin Up –retired Paint Prints.
The Weave backgrounder and sentiment are from Cornish Heritage Farms.
