This was a blissful challenge, Lynn! love the bandanna technique. I was fortunate to find hoarded paisley paper that was perfect. Come have a look!
Bandanna's definitely take me back to the old west and cowboys on horses (thinking of MotherMark and the wild west set). I decided to use my cowgirl from RubberStamps of America. I made faux suede for her skins using TH di, old paper, antique linen, tea dye and vintage photo inks rubbing over wadded up GP cs. I then paper pieced her face, hand, and scarf. The hoarded My Mind's Eye paper was doodled just a bit with an Ink Essentials white gel pen, it didn't need much. I added a Cuttled paisley folder white GP bg. The antique bracket (thinking this might be an Above the Mark unmounted image) was inked with ColorBox Raven Black and embossed (stamped on SU retired Bayou Blue). The sentiment was from a cheapie set found at Big Lots...it is on foam, inked with Ancient Page coal black on GP white. Both the sentiment and cowgirl are mounted on foam squares.
I hoping you get a chance to follow YOUR bliss today...mine's a busy one, but I did get a chance to play here in the bandanna challenges, so how much more blissful should I be?!!!!

Hmm - it might be wild west to you, but she looks like a jungle explorer to me. I think it's the green, looking like a big banana leaf, and the little vines curling over it at the top. Her outfit looks great!!
ps - thanks for mentioning real sponges - reminded me that there is one in the bathroom that we brought back from Greece and don't really use - maybe I can snip it up into little pieces .
