This was such a fun technique - why did I never try it before when I have often admired it in the gallery. Thanks for the push, Lynn. I loved it, and when I was done I didn't want to cover it up.
My base is an A2 red card.
For the bandana layer I used Sizzix Little Sizzles Earth Tones, and stamped on it with Faded Jeans distress ink, using two stamps from Hero Arts Small Paisley Designs, and a little star from Pretty Amazing. I was hoping to add an origami dog and make this for my BIL, but wasn't happy with the dog, so back to the drawing board. That led me to this Woodware horse - he's stamped twice with Rangers Archival Black and coloured with watercolour pencils. I mean to add some Glossy Accents to his hooves. His head is popped up, as I stamped the image twice - in fact, the whole horse is popped up from the base. I added a Sizzix die-cut fence, whitewashed with gesso. The sentiment was stamped with Faded Jeans, cut with a Nestabilities tag and sponged with brown. I tied it on with some twine.
I was going to add gold snaps, then remembered these little star beads so added them instead.
Did I say before how much I enjoyed making my background

This is so adorable!! The fence is so cute, and doesn't cover up too much of that awesome background. And what a fun cow!! You did a great job on this one!!
