My hubby is a nightmare to make cards for - no hobbies with easy images, no car fixation etc! He does, however love olives and all things olivey (oil, the beautiful wood etc) so I thought a warm, rustic look with a simple image would serve well for our upcoming anniversary.
Stamps (all Cornish Heritage Farms:
Vegetable Harvest (Shady Tree Studio line)
Ornamental Beauty (Rummage Bin line)
Sentiment from Father's Day Centers (Mona Lisa Moments line)
Paper:
Kraft
Ink:
Tim Holtz Distress by Ranger (Vintage Photo)
Other:
Prismacolor pencils
Paper piercer
Sponge
Tip: to make a frame with the border stamp, draw a light pencil line where you want the inside of the frame to be and line up the bottom edge of the stamp with that line, using post-it notes to mask mitred corners as you stamp your way round the frame. Erase the pencil line when you're done.

This is exquisite! Your coloring is absolutely perfect! My DH is much the same, but at least he plays the mandoline and the guitar, so I can fall back on music stuff.

Love this card. For the future, try finding some technique or addition that he comments on when he reviews your cards. My husband made positive comments whenever I used mulberry paper when it was torn. I try to include mulberry paper on every card for him whether the main image is a design, tree, Valentine, etc. Mine is a olive oil lover, too, so your card will be CASED. TFS
