I made this for my mother, who is supposed to retire this year. (She's too busy to retire!)
Candle was purchased from the Dollar Store. I printed the sentiment "Candles shouldn't be burned at both ends. Happy Retirement!" on tissue paper with my printer. I had to tape the piece of tissue paper to a regular letter size page to get it to go through my printer. I rated this as difficult because it is a large candle and it was difficult to hold the wax paper tight and the heat gun at the same time. I could've use an extra pair of hands!

Just gorgeous! Wonderful job. This really is stunning. Love the tree border at the bottom. Your mother, retiring or not, will love it. I know what you mean about an extra pair of hands. I used the same technique last year on a 6" diameter candle with a copy of a wedding announcement. Not easy, but the outcome was great.
