Hey, Judy, what a great idea for the LSC. I had a blast just reading all the different celebrations going on in May...didn't realize what a party I could have...I mean multiple parties EVERY day!!! But in the end, I had to choose May 27th, that's the day the Golden Gate Bridge opened...have a look...
I've had this image waiting for the perfect time and today's the day. The Inkadinkadoo Golden Gate was stamped with Tim Holtz distress ink in Spiced Marmalade on GP white cs. I used three sizes of the Labels2 from Spellbinder. The Blue Moon paper from Basic Grey for my waves (used the SU slit punch) and the Boston Cooler embossed with Cuttlebug TRAFFIC are both new papers from the Lime Rickey group. The gorgeous orange label mat is Basic Grey also, Romani. I added Artistic Outpost's Michelin man inked in Memento London FOG and popped up on the waves. The cool map in the bg is also Artistic Outpost, part of the Route 66 set. That's were you'll find the Road Trip.
Thanks for having a look and I appreciate hearing what you think~~~
There's a story on my first trip to THE bridge on my blog today. Happy Friday!

Susan, this is one of my favorite cards of yours! I love that nestie, it frames the bridge so perfectly. The texture and cut out mimicks the ocean so well! Your DP and layers are amazing. Love this card!

Love how you textured that dp and it appears you could take us around the world with your awesome stamp collection. You should start a new challenge here on SCS calling it Travel with Susan and you could pick a place in the world each week and let us create how that part of the world has inspired the artworld. You are great!!!

Susan, this so awesome. I love your story of your first trip to SF and I had much the same experience. I had moved to Southern CA for business and had a meeting in SF. I quickly rushed to a local store for a sweater and long pants- it's cold up there. But the Golden Gate, it's just such a sight, so its wonderful that you create a fantastic card to acknowledge this landmark. Maybe I should take a 'road trip' up there, hummmm.....
