This is my attempt at the Embossed Waxpaper Resist - SCS Technique Challenge. It's raining today so the picture might not be at its best. I love this image and have had it a long time and never used it. It's so expressive!
I used the Cuttlebug's Distress Stripes embossing folder for the background. After coloring it with the Autum Leaves rainbow pad, I thought it looked a bit too bright for my liking, so I used the brayer with Caramel ink to go over it and then wiped off the excess.
After I cut and embossed the main image on ivory cardstock with Spellbinders Classic Rectangles, I masked the image and used the Copics Airbrush for the background. The image was also colored with Copics. The cupcake was stamped on scrap cardstock and scrap DP and paper-pieced.
Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

Love this card! The colors are fantastic, and especially like the image. I feel the same way about birthdays! Very cute to put the cupcake there for her to "glare" at!!!
