Birthday banner for Giulia!

Poster: kelicat

My first banner ever and boy was this a lot of work but I love the outcome and so does my princess!

I used the Sizzix "Pennant" die which is smaller than the SU exclusive one.

Please check out my gallery for close-ups of the lettering.

Each letter was cut from my Sizzix "Serif Essentials" alphabet--the letters are mounted on chipboard with dimensionals behind them to make them stand out even more!

Each letter is dry embossed and individually embellished.

Each "tier" is separate--there is a 3rd tier with my daughter's name on it but I preferred just 2 tiers. The ends of the tiers can be joined for one continuous phrase or separated to appear as shown.

I used "Berry Sweet" designer paper by K & C for the pennant layers with a large variety of solid SU paper for the letters. I used more colors than I would normally in a design but I think it is whimsical and appropriate for an 8 year old.

Thanks for looking!

Great job on this, Kelly! Love the variety of papers you used! Bet Giulia thought it was awesome!
