thanks little lou for the great swing card challenge for our April VSN mini! I had not made one before, but Beate's tutorial was just perfect. You're right about the revolving doors seen in Vegas as well as entrances swung wide open and maybe never shut!
I decided to go with a real door (one of a whole sheet of unmounted's from my friend, Amy, Craf-tee here on SCS a Christmas surprise, thanks so much). Don't know who made them, sorry. I used a double sided sheet of paper from My Minds Eye Signature collection. The front was stamped with Little Stampers self inking words. I used ones that evoked the spirit of travel. The off-set clock is from Tim Holtz clear stamps. It was inked in Adirondack raisin. The doors were inked with TH di fired brick and black soot. I cut them apart to put my sentiment from Stampers Anonymous which said: "EVERY EXIT LEADS TO A NEW ENTRANCE". It was cut with a nestability and dry embossed. The ink was Adirondack terra cotta. I added a Making Memories tab on the right top corner. The card swings to the back and I have written a message in the rectangular space.
This was a lot of fun and I am so happy I attempted the tutorial. I also learned how to include a picture in a picture and am showing the inside here.
Thanks for looking and enjoy your Sunday afternoon

Susan - you never cease to amaze me - this is stunning! Love the doors...and clever you...a photo within a photo....you are amazing girl!!! The clock is perfect (I love clock stamps) and the sentiment behind the doors couldn't be better (I am trying to find different ways to say perfect...I feel like I am repeating myself...but we all know PERFECT is the word!!) Thanks for sharing Susan - inspiring AGAIN!!
