This is for today's IC 177 and ssnotime84. When Sharon posted a challenge to use paper as piping I remembered having real piping (very old) from my MIL sewing things. I used it and really like the masculine look it gives instead of ribbon. The dp and colors were selected to go with the IC, to use Kleenex boxes. I used the almond patterned boxes for my inspirtation and dp choice. I think this would be best for a masculine birthday..using the piping gives it a "sturdier" look. Gorgeous, Helen. I agree...the card has a nice sturdy, masculine feel. The background pieces look a little like suede. Love the copper embossed tree. I thought about using real piping, too but couldn't find any in my sewing chest.
