This was such a fun challenge! "Make yourself at Home"
I decided not only to use the colors in my bedroom but to remake my actual window with the drapes that I made.
We live in a 100 year old Victorian and since the ceilings are so high I have found that I have to make all the window treatments myself since the length is 108"
Remaking the window and curtains on a card was much easier than making the drapes LOL
I have uploaded another picture that shows the card side by side with a picture of my actual window.
I used mostly paper piecing for this.
I had the perfect Basic Grey DP "Mellow". The card is sage CS and then I used Baja breeze for the window and sponged it a bit with some clouds. The 2 card stocks ended up blending together for the most part, I even sponged some clouds but the curtains cover most of that up. The valance is actually pleated so it has dimension, I used the same folds as I did on the actual valance I made in my room.
The curtain tie backs in my room are metal and almost resemble a fleur de lis so I used my feur de lis punch on the card. Then I hand made a little tassle from a piece of yarn.
The tree stamp is from the Forrest Friends stamps and the sentiment is from Great Friend.
Originally I was going to use a piece of vellum as the sheers but it covered too much of the scene so I decided against it.

Fabulous card! You have so much talent, what with making your own drapes (wich I could do that one) and recreating it on your beautiful card! Very impressive!!
