Hi! This card was made for today's Technique Lovers Challenge: Gesso Resist.
I have to tell you....Gesso is NOT a product I USUALLY have in my stampin' room! LOL! However, I do have it in the house. Markie LOVES to paint. He has his own oils, canvases, etc...I saw today's challenge and grabbed Markie's Gesso, paint brush and a Stampin' Success magazine out of my reading room, (the bathroom!), and I painted a page. The Gesso is translucent, and acts as a primer. As the pages dry, they warp. I stamped the image in VersaMark and embossed in clear. Next, I rubbed Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Ruby Red and Chocolate chip pads over the page. To finish, I rubbed a paper towel over the embossed area.
The butterfly and leaves started out as white. I sprayed them with my Copic Airbrush.
