I have used these little birds once before, but I did them in blue. As I was making this card the little children's rhyme about black birds baked in a pie was going through my head. If there were 4 and 20 that would have been 24 birds right? Well if I have captured 2 of them on my card where are the other 22?
I stamped my birds twice. Once on the dp and once on white cardstock. I cut the birds out and glued them onto the dp. My flourishes were stamped in black stazon. I chose this dp because of the distressed look. I know it is a little greener than my inspiration, but I love how the distressed look goes with these little black birds.
I left a lot of negative space, because I really wanted the eye to go to the little birds.
What do you think?
