This A2 sized card was made for a friend of mine who is never, never without a cup of coffee in her hand at work!! I used the Gina K set "My Cuppa' Joe". The coffee cup was stamped twice and hand cut and then popped on dimensionals; the little logo on the cup was popped even again. I painted the cup with angel wings shimmerz and after it dried, ran my 'Barely Beige E11' Copic caio marker around the edges for shadowing and then highlighted the logo in Prismacolor Tea Green marker. The journal paper image was a clear stamp (but I don't have the brand) and the patterned papers were from a pack that I had found at Walmart. I used the same dark green banded paper to create the strip behind the coffee cup as on the bottom of the card. Nestabilities were used to cut the plain circle and scalloped circles. The sentiment, embossed with white detail powder, is from Cornish Heritage Farms "Birthday Centers". Inside, I used another two stamps from the CHF set and added the coffee mug stain and spill stamps from a coffee set made by Blockheads Stamps. The stain & spill were stamped using colorbox chalk ink dappled in two shades of brown. (I subsequently redid the inside panel since I wasn't happy with the light colored green as well as the overstamp..but I wanted to get this posted..). I really wish I had a way of scenting the paper with coffee. I do have flavored embossing powders, but they usually don't melt fine enough, especially for such a small image as the logo on the cup.... To go with the card, I'm wrapping up several kitchen dish towels - that are printed with coffee mugs and coffee beans!!
Hope it Made You Smile. Thanks for Looking!
