This card is not purple IRL, although for the life of me I cannot get the colour right....so I have given up - it is really mulberry-ish IRL. It is for the Inspiration Challenge, which I love but sometimes take a while to choose what to work with.....this morning as I was in the shower, avoiding the fact that I should probably be cleaning it...inspiration hit and I went straight from the bathroom to the laundry (yes, I did take the time to get dressed first!!) and reached for the bleach - no not for cleaning - for card making!!!!
First embossing this fabulous image that my new SU Demo (and friend) Ann gave me after my first scrapbooking class (that is a whole 'nother show...I can't believe I have started another craft....but I am enjoying it!!) I embossed it with black and then painted on the bleach (as we had done at my SU Workshop) I thought if I did it in the laundry, if someone wanted me I could honestly say 'I am just bleaching' and they would leave me alone thinking I was doing housework!!! I was feeling pretty smug with myself...I was feeling really creative LOL!!!
I did find that I was a bit heavy handed with the beach and got my aqua pen and inkpad and added colour to some areas where there was none.....I am happy to say that the whole card took about 15 minutes to make and I am happy with the result - I am sure I am going to be doing some more...ahem....cleaning today!!! (so very, very sneaky!)
I do have to add that I was blessed with a great RAK from my friend Hannah (aka bubblefrog) yesterday...a Heat Tool....one she had spare...so thank you Hannah....this is one mean Heat Tool too...it is from the Hardware Department and has POWER TOOL on the box - laughing!!! When I was using it I also got the washing that was hanging on a rack in the laundry dry - so I am pretty happy as I got heaps done in 15 mins LOL!!!!
Thanks for looking...and my advice to you today is, make your way to the laundry - no not for cleaning....for stamping...just tell everyone you are going to use the bleach - they WILL leave you in peace!!! Enjoy and Happy Easter to you all!

Lol! I always call this method 'faux cleaning'! Makes the house smell so fresh! Your colors are gorgeous Linda, and no one tears paper like you! Beautiful card!

wonderful, wonderful card, Linda! I just used this bleach technique earlier in the week. It looks so pretty on your big blossom....oh and the house will always be waiting, but you better fly with the inspiration, dear Linda!
