How nice to be uploading after being offline for a week....it was horrible....I did manage to sneak in some uploads at a friends...but am THRILLED to be back on my own computer!!
This card is for the Sketch Challenge and is for my daughter Maddy's birthday, she is turning 11 and just LOVES bling - in her own words, she is a 'girly girl!' So when I got this adorable image in the mail in a RAK from Sue (aka Coffeestamper aka Perk) I just knew that it was destined for Maddy's birthday!
The DP came in a RAK from Pat Smethers and is just perfect with the embossed card. The main image is chalked and then I have added the extra bling with a gel pen and used pink pearls on the corners....I am not sure yet if I will add 'Happy Birthday' I didn't think I would, but now, after lookiing at it again...I am in two minds - what do you think....I needa da help!!!
Thank you for looking and for your comments - you always encourage me so much!!!

LOVE that you matched the paper with the embossing style..very very cute!!!
I think a "happy birthday" sign would be cute in the bottom lower corner at an angle with a couple of rhinestones just a thought.

Hi Linda, it's so nice to have you back! LOVE your card - it's just so gorgeous!! For a Happy Birthday sentiment, you could stamp one that is quite small and attach it on it's side to the top RH corner of the image just below where you have rounded the corner. See this link to Susie B's Gallery to explain what I mean. Anyway, just a thought....;)

Hey Linda, I just had another idea for the sentiment: If you have a round Happy Birthday sentiment or something similar, you could stamp it on white cs, punch it with a circle punch, layer it on the same coloured cs you layered the girl on, then circle punch that, then attach it to the top rhs of the image about an inch down from the brad. That way the circle sentiment ties in with the other circles on the card. ;)

Yeah! You are 'home'! Missed you badly sistah. What a great way to come back too! This image is adotrable and I love what you do with chalk! Boggles my mind. This is so very girly-girl for Maddy. Love the blinginess of it and especially the pearls. Your little scalloped border is so sweet. (and I think I'd add HB on the inside, this is perfect already!) Glad you are back! Woo-hooo! XXXOOO

Wow this is adorable! It must be fun to have so many consultants with great ideas! It just proves there are many ways to do something! I was thinking this is just right and HB could go on the inside. But, the above ideas are good too!
