Here is my entry for 2 challenges, time is of essence so I am glad I could join two of my favorite ones together!
First I do have to take the time to congratulate our Featured Stamper Julie (JustWriteDesigns), she has one of the most amazing galleries! I've cased one of Julie's awesome cards before and I can say that she has a style that is very minute and stylish, filled with love of course.
Changed the colors, the stamp, using house mouse from Crystal's rak, thank you girlie girl! My sentiment is replacing her slider, I used a white ribbon and did some stamping on the paper also, using stamps from Inkadinkadoo, my latest gift from Anne Ryan, (thanks honey), the butterflies and the variety of flowers are so fun to play with.
The second challenge is for the TSC, we were to make a card with a cherished memory of our childhood. I'm late but I used this little house mouse image eating pie that reminds me of when we first moved to our home as a 4 year old with my brother who was 5, we accompanied my mom, while she unpacked and prepared the new house for the whole family.
Long story short, mom had nothing to feed us except the apple pie we got as a gift from our new neighbors. So, she let my brother and I have the pie for lunch. We were supposed to leave her a piece, can't remember if we did, but if I remember my brother's appetite and my love for the pie...there was likely nothing left of it. LOL
Thanks for looking and enjoy.
Oh and the pie was apple, but I didn't know how to color an apple pie and lemon meringue is my favorite and love to put the snow a bit messy like we must have been!

I love your little hungry mouse eating away at this yummy pie. What a sweet memory and how thankful your mother must have been that the neighbor brought the pie to feed her hungry babies. Great job, Peggy.

Oh how cute! Your meringue looks good enough to eat! This is very cute and I like your story. Sometimes I used to have pie or cobbler for breakfast. Laura Engels Wilder's husband did while growing up, so it must be alright!

This is so special, Peggy! I love your card and especially the story behind it. I love your little mousies eating the pie and the dp you used is beautiful. Your wonderful card brings back a memory to me, too. When my DD was very little (like around 4), I had made a lemon meringue pie for after dinner. The next morning, my DD got up very early and went to the fridge and ate all the meringue off the pie. I guess she didn't think we would notice, lol. Thanks so much for taking the time to case my card so wonderfully. And thanks for all the lovely comments you always leave for me.

What a great card, I love that story. I always say 'Life is unpredictable, eat dessert first'. The HM are, as usual, most excellent, adorable and having so much fun with that great meringue pie! Lemon, my fav too. Love the DP, flower, brads all of it! Great card. TFS
