This background didn't come together as easy as I expected. I cut a bunch of wavy strips, and they were hard to place together. I should have made them bigger... that would have helped.
When I got the background done, I really didn't know what I was going to put on it. The bg ended up looking really 70's style to me, and my neice likes that. So I decided to make her a birthday card for her 23rd birthday. She also likes cats, so I put this little kitty (got it from the clearance bin at Archivers) on it, but had to cut off the halloween witch hat it was wearing. The party had was then placed on top instead. The cat and the hat (ha! I rhymed!) are both cut out and popped up.
The brown scallop square was cut with the cricut, and I got it out of my little box of abandonded pieces. Same with the balloon. I save all the junk that I don't end up using on a card, in hopes it will be what I need some other time.
TFL!!

Kris, I just love your wavy strips of color. Those colors are FAB. What a great card. Perfect for the challenge. Thank you for your nice comment on my card today.

Very funky card, Kris. Just the thing for your cat lovin' niece, I'm sure.
I'm amazed that you pulled so much of this out of the scrap heap--it looks totally put-together!
