I'm really in the mood for spring and thought maybe making flower cards would help me out. If it would just quite snowing here - one day snow the next day sunshine. Anyway, I wanted to use my Riot of Petals stamp set so here is the 1st of 2 cards.
I stamped the image on beige cardstock with versa mark and then embossed with copper ep. Used my aqua brush for the 1st time to color the flower with creamy caramel su craft ink. Then I did the centre with fabric dimensional paint. The image wouldn't quite stand out so I glued it onto dk green core'dinations crdstock which helped. I embossed the card background and the dk brown sq under the flower with cb embossing folders. I used the spellbinders scalloped squares and labels dies to cut out the patterns on the bottom and around the flower. I cut strips of brown and green core'dinations to put in the background and then added some copper eyelets to finish it off. TFL
