nice to 'see' you, Silvia for the challenge today...I love the limits you put on us... I took those limits and applied them to the Twisted Sistah challenge today to create a card about a special memory in your past.
I knew I wanted to use this Cloud 9 Designs sentiment: Laughter is the brush that sweeps away the cobwebs of the heart. It reminded me of all the times my beloved grandmother and I would be rolling in laughter, crying with joy over some rememberance. My card was coming together...almost done...and my DS, Andy yelled from the TV room..."hey, Mom, come in here and watch the ColdPlay vid with me (AGAIN). You won't regret it..." Well, if I'm being honest here, I just wanted to get my card uploaded and finish...but that still small voice inside of me SHOUTED: don't miss this moment. I had to obey. And of course I am so glad I did, we shared laughter and a bond that one day I hope he'll draw upon in a rememberance of our love! So I'm embedding it . Trust me, it's charming and a great tune...and a four minute pause in your day!
Oh, back to my commentary...I used 1 color=deep pink, the Bittersweet Pink from Basic Grey, acetate for the sentiment inked with Stazon Blazing RED (looks deep pink to me). My embelishments are my pink twill and red staples and the heart diecut. What doesn't show up is the pretty lace bg inked with Adirondack snow cap.
Thanks for your comments and I'll resume that grandmother memory in another card....making new memories was more important today!

I can see the lace background, but only because I looked for it after you mentioned it. I like cards witha story like this one. Except for the staples, I don't think I'd ever have guessed it was yours.

Such a beautiful, clean and simple card. These colors are always so striking together. I loved your story about your son. You've gotta take advantage of moments like those. They grow up way too fast. Great card today. TFS the card and the story.
