I have no idea what a chicken has to do with Teapot Tuesday, but here is my card. I don't do elegant very well, BUT I did put diamond dust on this card and I know diamonds are very elegant! Plus I am also bringing some fancy smancy treats. So keep that red carpet rolled out!
Briefly, I made this bg after seeing a RAK that Anne Ryan received from Christiane, aka Opthalmologist. She also received some Teykol, which I cannot for the life of me find here in the USA. So I tried to use other products that Googled Internet sites recommended. Turned out okay, but I am sure the real stuff would have been better.
Since the colors went so well with today's Mothermark's Teapot challenge, I just went for it. I stamped and copic colored my chicken in the rain, added the diamond dust to bring some elegance to my card so they let me in the front door at the party!!!
Well, hope this gets me in........TFL :0)
P.S. No butterflies on this card.....the chicken ate them! LOL

Hmmm I thought I was the only one that cheated. LOL. Just teasing. I have been wondering all morning how I would do elegant. Now I think I don't have to. Since you set the pace and all. I am sure you will have your ball gown on to make up for it. This image is awesome. You know how much I love WSD. So cute. We are suppose to be getting alot more rain here so I will have to bring my umbrella to the party so I don't mess my updo... Hugs.

Cathy, I don't think your chicken ate the butterfly. Butterflies just don't like rainy weather. Last fall my kids and I went to tag monarch butterflies as part of a conservation project. It rained that morning and we couldn't find a single one. That afternoon as soon as the sun came out they were everywhere. I would also think that if it were raining diamonds that they might be hiding because they are so delicate. The diamond drops might hurt them. I'm not afraid though. I will be out there with my umbrella opened up. I'll catch as many as I can. I'll then cash them in for stamp supplies.
I love the flowers that you used. Great doodling as usual. Just make sure your little duck doesn't step in the spilled chocolate pudding.

LOL at the chicken eating the butterflies. Caterpillars, maybe...but I think there was a lovely blue butterfly there before the rain.
Definitely the diamonds qualify for elegance.
What on earth is Teykol - I will have to go and look that up now. It's a great backgroune, whatever you used.

P.S. forgot to mention, Johnny as in Depp...remember the crush he has and blah blah blah...he wrote to tell me he was coming to the party, please tell him I have the flu or something, I can't stand to see the poor man cry every time he sees me. He knows I am loyal to my Pierre, but seems he just can't help himself. LOL

No, the butterfly tricked the chicken and is actually hiding way up under the umbrella until the sun comes out. I don't think we have ever had a chicken at our tea party before. Yours looks well behaved and looks like it will walk up the red carpet with no problems. Gotta love that bkgrd!

Hey, I know that chicken! Yep, that is the chicken that broke into the museum and stole the famous diamonds by hiding them in an umbrella, then got caught in a rain storm and the diamonds got flushed down the street drain! No wonder she has such a sad look on her face!
Hey, you can't help it if you are trying to get to the tea party and you know what just happens!!! Snort! I love being involved on a weekly basis with cheaters! Its encouraging! Snort!
I love your card! I love your story! And I am honored that you would use diamond dust on a chicken just cause of a teapot! Snort!
Thanks for coming. Thanks for the link. I hope your fancy schmancy treats aren't all soggy by the time we are ready to eat!

Sorry it was raining and you and your chick had to drag along an umbrella, but I know it will all be worth it. I love this card, it is so cute.
Come to think of it, the umbrella might be needed to fight off the papperazi, get in the food line and now I hear the police are after you so it might come in handy. Run with your golden egg as fast as you can.
