I finally waited long enough to use a liquid applique-type stuff (overnight) and there's crystal effects on the heart
You can make your own liquid applique with equal parts of all-purpose flour and salt. Just add water until it's the right consistency (like school glue).

This is so cute! I love the shape of your panels and the scalloped and punched border! The Liquid Applique is great on the little sheep! Love the flowers with the buttons, too!
