Wow! What a gallery today's featured stamper Michelle (JustPaintingAround) has! I was a little intimidated by her coloring skills, so again today I colored my stamp with markers. Here is her card:
I changed the images/sentiment but kept the idea of containers; changed the colors; left off one layer, used different embellishments and moved the sentiment up onto its own panel.
I colored white eyelets and the large brad with a copic marker; colored the twine with a SU! Marker.
There is a story behind the blue paper framing my image:
Last week we went for a visit to my parents' house.
My dad made a yummy dinner, and my mom used some beautiful textured paper with a deckle edge to make place cards. She is not a stamper or scrapper so I'm not sure why she had this paper, but I asked for the place cards to use the scraps. My 7th grade daughter was sitting next to her, wearing all new clothes we had bought earlier that day (she won't stop growing). My mom had passed some of them across the table to me and her sleeve caught the top of her wine glass, and it splashed my daughter from chest to feet! Not alot of wine, but it was Shiraz! Ack! So we mopped with napkins and sent her downstairs to change so we could wash the clothes, I went down and she was in tears. Seems this bothered her more than spilled milk! ;) We did get all the stains out, but it wasn't how we expected to end the meal!

It's just gorgeous!! I love the watercolour look to your lovely image!! Nicely done! Sorry to hear about the spilled Shriaz -but funnily enough my family all got together for a number of family birthday's tonight - and sure enough - two glasses full of red wine got dumped all over the table by a little three year old !! Such a mess!!!

I love all the beautiful colors on your card. Love the little touches of red flowers that make the red come out just so! I love your take on Michelle's card. TFS

You colored that Penny Black image beautifully! Lovely card with no wine stains! Your story about taking your Mom's pretty paper made me smile as it is so funny how a stamper is Always on the look-out for paper.
