This card was made for today's Ways to Use it Challenge. The challenge was to use our iron for this project. I have long planned to try the melted crayon background technique, but had not yet done it, so today was the day. I'm not completely sure I love this technique, but I think with a little practise it could be ok. You really do have to try and not move the iron around on the card cause that just creates mud!
For my background, I applied orange crayon and ironed that on and then I applied pink crayon and ironed that one to different areas until most of the CS was covered. Then I stamped with black craft ink over this surface. I cut this background into strips and layered them onto black cs. The orange square was wheeled with the Friends wheel.
I used my new Big Shot to make my daisy and finished it all with the greeting from my FREE Sale a Bration set.

WOW!!!! I think your melted crayon looks beautiful!!! I just love this technique so much. I like that you can see each color. Mine kind of mixes all together. (Haven't quite made mud yet, but I can see how that could happen!).
The black with your pink and orange is the perfect accent. So striking!! I love it!!
