I had to quick put in a submission for Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday from LAST week. Well, TECHNICALLY it was Cookie Jar Tuesday but who's counting...hee!
I made a green berry basket...like the kind you go and pick berries with! I used to pick berries for a living at the ripe ole age of 12 or 13 at a local farm here in Upstate NY! We used to get in trouble for having berry wars! One time, my nephew (who is 3 months younger than me) told me to go pick in a "bad" row, while he chose the better one...and I found 20.00 in the dirt! I didn't even tell him until we got home so my Mom was there to protect me!!! Ahhh memories!
Now hopefully with this late submission, Mothermark will let me in the party tomorrow...come along, fun is had by all who venture into her lair, errr ummm I mean, party!
PS...don't look too close at this picture, my poor template cutting skills are in FULL view on this one!!!!

Ah Kelly, this is sweet! Memories of strawberry picking huh. I have a sad one...being 10 and working all morning in the hot sun, got to lunch time so hungry but had no lunch...got myself a sandwich that cost 1$, to learn that 1$ was all I made that day. Ouch! Live and learn.
Love that strawberry and yes, you have come well equiped to the party, I hear there are a whole lot strawberries left, not sure about the whipped cream though. Beautiful take on the mini basket and teapot/cookie jar challenge. TFS

You made it in by the skin of your chinny chin chin. Or is it by the hair of your chinny chin chin. Skin sounds better, hair makes it sound like the Wizard of Oz witch! Yikes!
This is about the cutest little strawberry basket ever! I love your little fabric berry! That is fabric isn't it!
Okay, the truth comes out! When you were a kid you got in trouble for berry wars! And everyone at the tea party said you were not the instigator of the frosting fight and the whipped cream fiasco and about everything else that happens on a weekly basis. Me thinks this is proof that you are the rowdy one!!! You know, some things we are just born with!
Whew, you made it! Honestly no matter anyway, we pretty much party non stop, just have to replenish the tea from time to time!

Kelly, I love your strawberrry basket. I bought strawberries yesterday at the grocery store that were so big and juicy I think only 2 would fit in these little baskets. But that is ok. You have an extra berry on the outside.
See you at the party.
Snugs!

I don't think I would want to be putting juicy berries into that sweet little basket - not unless it was well lined with something to protect it. Don't see what template-cutting skills you're worried about, and I just love the different textures you added to the inside and outside.
