I made this card for my sister's birthday and I just moved and have not been able to get organized - something about lack of space - and I was ready to get started on something, and so this is what I came up with quick, (because it seems like when I start something my kids tend to want something or wake up from naps, etc.) and with limited supplies. And I have been dying to try my bigshot as well.
I wish that the impressions made with the texture plates were clearer because I think that it really completes the card, but you can barely see it here. and I had to use stickles instead of a brad or dew drops because those are in a box yet to be unpacked . . .
and I do not know the colors of cardstock, because I just pulled from my scraps. TFL!!

Your sister is sure to appreciate this card! I was given a tip and I'm sharing: lightly mist the paper before embossing with the texturz plate and the impression will be deeper. Like you, I was a bit disappointed when I first used mine, called about it, and was told to try this--it worked!!!

I am really liking these colors together. The stamping on the ribbon is a great idea. And while the embossing is subtle, I wouldn't say it's too subtle. It adds a great touch to the card.
