Hope this helps ...
These instructions are based on the project on page 53 of the February 2004 Papercrafts Premier Issue.
The one in the Papercrafts magazine just uses cardstock for the covers. I used cardboard and covered it. That is how I have typed the instructions below. I have also changed the measurements just a bit to accommodate the envelopes which measure 2-1/2 x 3-3/4 (purchased at AC Moore, 8 for $1.99)
1. Cut two 3 x 4-1/2 of cardboard. Cut two pieces of 3-1/2 x 5 paper (colored or decorative). Cover cardboard with paper. For the inside of each cover, cut a piece (two total) of coordinating cardstock 4-3/8 x 2-7/8:
2. Score a 4-1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of US white cardstock every 3/8 inches. Mount covers to the folded piece. I inserted the ends of the scored US white cardstock between the cardboard and the coordinated piece of cardstock (see the sample I previously posted).
3. Adhere envelopes to folded piece of US white. On the back side of the US white, I adhered the folds together.
I hope these make sense once you look at the samples. If you have any questions, just let me know.
