This old sketch challenge has been taunting me for so long, so I finally decided to see what I could do. When I used my Coluzzle to cut the oval, the edges were REALLY frayed and ugly. (I HATE the Coluzzle!) Anyway, I remembered seeing some great ribbon and paper ruffles, so I decided to do a ribbon ruffle frame to hide the edges. What do you think?
I started with a Close to Cocoa cardbase. I cut the oval on a piece of Pale Plum cs. On Whisper White cs, I used the Huff & Puff method (markers directly colored onto the rubber) to color and stamp the image. It's adhered it behind the Pale Plum layer and went to work on the frame. I grabbed my box of Mini Glue Dots and Sage Shadow 1/4" grosgrain ribbon. I tacked down the first loop with a Glue Dot and then kept on going. I then tucked in the sentiment panel with a Dimensional.
I thought it needed a little something on the bottom, so I scalloped the edges of the Pale Plum and Close to Cocoa layers.
