This was initally a Hello Kitty swap (a member's daughter is hosting), but it was later changed to a more wide spectrum, Cats, Dogs and Bunnies I think it was. I thought it would be fun to stick with the theme. Problem was... inspiration was hard to come by for this 40 year old mother of a teenage son.
Okay, so I admit I had this Hello Kitty paper on hand. (As a background paper for an introduction of a kitty to a toddler... see how I've got to justify my actions!! ) Anyway i HAD to use it. And being that Miss Kitty is completely covering the paper it made no sense to me for another Hello Kitty to be added, there wasn't room. So, again with the Everybody Loves Hello Kitty hearts. They were punched and then embossed with iridescent embossing powders. I wanted to have the hearts overhang the top and side edge and yet maintain the 3.5x2.5 required element of all ATC cards. I slimmed the rectangle down and attached those hearts with a bare overhang. They indeed measure, when you count the cards, 3.5x2.5... seems to me it's still card even if it's not the cardstock itself that is that size. i don't want to go to ATC jail or anything.
