Lynn gave us a great technique today. I've often used fibres for framing before, but not so sure about ribbon, except inside an aperture.
I went CAS for this, deciding not even to colour my bird.
Base card is 5 1/2" square white linen finish. I stamped the bird onto some more of the same card using Versafine black, and trimmed it down. Pet hate -those Hero Arts stamps in square frames that aren't exactly square, so they are hard to trim...
On the back I drew diagonals across the corners, measured in 1 1/2 cm from the corner, and cut slots from there, measuring 1 cm. Threaded through my twill ribbon as per technique challenge, sponged the edges in Tim Holtz DI Antique Linen.
I wanted a strong sentiment so I used alphabet stamps from Woodware. Brief panic when I thought I had managed to lose the *n* from not one but both sets, but managed to find one. I suppose at 5 or 6 years old it's a wonder I haven't lost more, but I hope it turns up when I tidy. Stamped in black, and then mounted the panel up on foam tape.
Fun... and being simple, I now have all my window sills with one coat of paint on them, and might even get them all finished with a second coat.

Sabrina this set and your ribbon go so well together. I love the image. Good luck on your painting. I hope you get done in time for the tea party tomorrow..
