This is for this week's colour challenge. I used a silhouette set from Inque Boutique and stamped the image in artichoke then stamped off. The bird is from the same set and I cut it out and popped it up. It is layered on a piece of rose red and always artichoke. I scored a frame around the whole panel, but it doesn't really show in the photo. Added a couple of buttons with embroidery floss threaded through them and made little gingham ribbon tabs. I stuck my bird in the wrong place and then couldn't figure out where to put my sentiment, so I left it off!! This is not what I had in mind, I had wanted to use flowers, but I don't know what happened, lol! Oh well, it is what it is.
Great colour combo Emily!!
Thanks for looking

fIt is what it is and that is stunning! So many of my cards don't turn out the way I envisioned them either! But they turn out to be what they were meant to be!

I didn't catch your card when it uploaded, but just checked your gallery to see what new stuff you have going. I love this card. The way you popped out the bird is fantastic and I love the silhouette in the background and those button/ribbon combinations are dynamite. Great job!
