I struggled to figure out a way to sort paper... seemed I was spending so much time on that and less time on actual crafting. I bought one sorter and it worked great - but when I became an SU demo, I wanted all the papers (of course, lol) and a way to sort them without using my precious cabinet or counter space. I bought 2 more sorters... and then called the company and they shipped me extra shelving sets for all 3 sorters. Hubby drilled and added the shelves, I labeled, then we came up with the idea to recess them into the wall by my work station! I was ridiculously excited and still am to see it done. ALL papers at my fingertips.... sigh.... the 2 lower sorters contain a color family in each vertical section, the higher sorter is empty just because I haven't had time to sort my non-SU papers yet. For 12x12 paper, I have the Display Dynamic trays and love them - and have them in my lower cabinets.

The paper sorter was in the office aisle - it originally has 12 shelves (you do have to put it together but they are simple) - I called the company and they shipped me extra sets of shelving, brackets, and end things for the shelves - the units were $15, extra shelves for all 3 came to $19.99 including shipping - so for $65 I have perfect storage for 72 different papers.... in a VERY condensed space - which was important to me... also appearance wa important and I like the clean, straight lines and easy to use set up.
My very favorite part is the recessed shelves courtesy of my hubby - I lost NO counter or cupboard space~~ WOOHOO!!

This is so cool! Certainly something to consider! My hubby & father in law are working on the dry wall mud tomorrow. Its not too late to add something like this. I wonder if maybe a cabinet door front (or something similar.... hey, what about a hinged bulletin board?) would help keep the light and dust out? I can't wait to see the rest of your room photos! Thanks so much for sharing!

I am so impressed! I had asked DH for the P3 Paper unit from Crop in Style for Mother's Day but, have not opened/used it yet because I'm just not sure if it'll work now that there are 60 colors. I love this idea so much! TFS!

Do you remember the name of the shelves? I love this idea!! I went looking online at Sam's Club and couldn't find the shelves. They had some really expensive ones but I am on a budget. I might have to go and look at our store to see if they have them. I am would love to have a room like yours.:)
