I crimped baja breeze, then inked brown over it, and added some white pencil in the grooves to add more dimension. I don't have any cardinal stamps, and was just going to use a different bird, but I didn't like how the bird looked, so I used an owl.
The frame was cut with the Sizzix Scallop Oval Frame Die, the blue flowers were cut with Quickutz, and the leaves and "hello" were cut with the Cricut.

Oh my goodness! Another newcomer to the tea party! Hey girls, meet Kris! Welcome Kris!
I am wondering if you uploaded this last night because I think I recall getting a glimpse of this in the gallery and thinking, hey, that looks like it could be a teapot card! Hee!
I love that Marilynn invited you! Did she tell you she's brining hot fudge sundaes???? Whoo Hoo! I love your card, the little frame you created to showcase your owl is da bomb! The way you crimped and shaded the background was awesome and your little owl with his brad eyes is precious!
Thanks for coming....the others get a little rowdy from time to time but usually I can hire someone to keep them in line! Snort! Thanks for the link and thanks for coming!!!!

Kris, I am so glad that you made it to the teaparty. I saved some of the hot fudge sundaes for you. I like your layout. The little owl with the brad eyes looks so cute.

Your card is sweet! I love the owl the sentiment and that gorgeous frame! Beautiful addittion at the teapot party.
Welcome Kris, I just love this challenge, I think I'm addicted to about 189 challenges (kidding). But it is a fun one, I just love the teapots Cindy has and especially the company she keeps. Well my "entourage" is not so bad either, when you have Johnny Depp who has a crush on you how bad can life be. LOL and snort as Cindy says! TFS

This is so cute. I just love the way you did the Baja Breeze. It looks just like the teapot. I wish I had thought of it. Super stamp for this challenge. SUPER job. SO glad you joined us. It is a riot. Come back next week.

Birds of a feather may flock together but your owl is definitely welcome at the tea party - as are you. Wonderful interpretation of the teapot challenge and a great card!
