I just love Dr. Seuss, and made this card for today's Color Challenge in honor and memory of his wonderful work.
I got this idea when I was searching for coloring pages for my kids... I found this one of Horton carrying the flower that holds the Whos, and it was the perfect size for a card. I printed it out, then went over it with a permanent marker, followed by heat setting it with my heat gun.
I colored the trees and bushes with kiwi kiss ink usiing my aqua painter. I color Horton, the trees and the sky with pencils and blended with goo gone. And even though you can't see it in the photo, the tiny flower is colored with my pink passion marker. I tried layering with choc chip cardstock, but it just didn't pop like I wanted it to, so I used black and white as my neutrals.
Thanks for looking and remember... "A person's a person, no matter how small..."
