I have made these cards for the Asutralian Bush Fire Survivors and have used recycled cards that I have had since I first arrived in Australia, which was - buckle up your seat belt for this - 29 years ago in April. I don't know if it is harder to believe that I have been here that long or the fact that I have held on to the cards for that long!!!
As they are of native Australian flowers I wanted the picture to speak for itself and kept to basics....I have layered the picture on black and then on embossed card - I just received that EF today in a BRAK from the lovely Grace (aka Scrappigramma2)...thank you Grace - made making these cards so easy!!!
I have to say that these are frugal in 2 respects...firstly with supplies, then with time, it has taken me 40 minutes to make 6 cards - I am happy with that!!! Well off to bed, I have delayed the aging process long enough - can't avoid getting older any longer - maybe I can sleep through it and let everyone else celebrate - LOL!!!
Thank you for looking, I am interested to know what you think - your comments are always appreciated!! By the way, there are 6 cards...the other 3 are in the next photo...

Linda, these are gorgeous! I always love how 'black' pumps up a card. The EF from Grace is just perfect too. Beautiful job sistah!

these flowers are beautiful. i actually ordered a cd of botanical images that were scanned from a book. my intentions were to frame some of these as i was just not finding the right ones i needed for my bathroom decor. i am now going to look for something similar to yours. love them.

I love these too. And love how the embossing really adds something extra-special to the cards. I think I will get this EF now that I see how it can be used to great effect.
