Today's ways to use it challenge was to use a recycled or found item in you stamping project. I had just finished reading this week's tutorial on Gesso Resist and since I have duplicates of my Yoga Journal magazine coming in every month, I decided that would be a great thing to recycle into a card. Finding the Gesso was the most challenging part of this new technqiue. "Imagine you're a flower" seemed like such a lovely title, I didn't realize at first glance that this was an article about cleansing toxins from the body, not quite the lovely imagery then!!! So I covered up a lot of the wording about toxins and colons with my cut out flowers and ribbon. Check out the tutorial for how this background is created. Large cut out flowers were stamped in Cameo Coral ink and then I sponged the edges with Pumpkin Pie ink. I love how the colors turned out on this. It was so odd when I sponged the Certainly Celery ink onto the background piece, it came out more as Sage Shadow.

Kathy, such a funny card. Even before I saw your description, I was reading the words. I was about half way down then I figured out where it was going. It had me laughing. I love how your gesso resist turned out. After seeing yours and Dawn's it makes me want to do it. Your flower look really pretty!
