Hi! This card was made for today's Ways to Use it Challenge: Frugal Finds. We were to use something recycled/inexpensive/repurposed, etc.
I'm not a very good "helper" when it comes to home improvement projects. Seven years ago, we had to get a new sink, and a new counter top. We got it right in place, sawed out the hole for the sink and plopped it right in. The only thing left was to install the dishwasher's screws. I grabbed the screws and started handing them to Mark whose head/body was under the sink. Mark is NOT a little man...(He's 6'4" and weighs over 240 pounds...He's not fat, just BIG!) Well...I grabbed the wrong screws, and by the time I realized it, there were 3 screws sticking out of the TOP of my BRAND NEW counter top! I screamed, he immediately bumped his head, and screamed, and tumbled out from underneath and said, "Well, I think a cutting board needs to go there!" and tossed one on top and it hasn't moved since! So, it's finally time to find a new countertop, and I had a BUNCH of FREE laminate samples laying around! LOL!
The image was stamped and colored with Copic markers. I cut it out and attached it to the sponged sky with foam tape.
The rectangle background is 2 laminate samples. I tied the ribbon around it to hide the line!

Oh Faith! This story is wonderful!! A new counter is great, but it won't have the same panache as the old one! Love the laminates!!
