I created the center piece by taking my VersaMark pad, and putting it directly onto the cardstock (Naturals White). I covered it with copper embossing powder (EP) and used my heat tool to melt it. When I made this one, I put more EP on as usual and heated it on the underside of the paper. That keeps the excess EP from blowing away. You need the melted EP to be thick. If it's still too thin, add more VersaMark on top, add more EP, and melt again. After it is all melted and still hot, I took my stamp and pressed it into the EP. I usually put VersaMark on the stamp to ensure that it doesn't get stuck. After about 3 seconds, take the stamp out and your done!
