Kathy's challenge was for us to use the Split Negative technique. I've actually never done this, so this was a lot of fun - but we had to basically make 2 images. For a detailed tutorial, Click Here .
I started off by stamping image with versamark on the dark purple and the white. On the purple carstock, I put white embossing powder. On the white carstock, I put black embossing powder, then heat set both.
I split them down the middle and switched halves lining them up. These panels I placed on lovely lilac base then added white brads on dark and lavendar brads on white.
At the bottom, I used the SU slit punch to tie grosgrain ribbon through a slider that I punched thru CB. Sentiment stamped in eggplant then slider was popped up on dimensionals.
The base of one card is white, while the other is lovely lilac. I found some black and white DP that serves as the BG.
This technique is one I'm surely going to try again ... Need to get some more embossing powder in different colors, first.
Thanks, again, Kathy, for the challenge - I loved it.
Thanks for looking !

Great job! That's the beauty of this technique: two cards for the "price" of one...hmm maybe I ought to do this technique at a stamp a stack. Oops, I lost track....The colors are striking and I like the way you mixed it up a bit by using different background DP.
